Cyber Surgery has been selected to present its surgical robotic assistant for spine procedures, ALAYA, at the Health 2.0 Basque Session of the congress, organized within the UPV/EHU Summer Courses. The congress will take place at the Palacio Miramar in San Sebastián from September 15 to 17 and will focus on the theme “Towards Sustainable Healthcare“.
Four innovative projects have been selected to participate in the Health 2.0 Basque Session: San Juan de Dios Gipuzkoa, Ubikare, Innitius, and Cyber Surgery. Each project will demonstrate how technology and digital innovation are transforming healthcare.
Davide Scorza, Head of Applied Research at Cyber Surgery, will present ALAYA, a surgical robotic assistant for spine procedures. ALAYA’s Kinematic navigation system guides the insertion of pedicle screws with high precision, eliminating the need for optical systems or cameras.
“It is an honor to present ALAYA at a forum that brings together leading voices in innovation and digital health. These events allow us to share our vision, learn from other projects, and continue driving technological transformation in the healthcare field“.
The Session will be moderated by Health 2.0 Basque founders Blanca Usoz, Gonzalo López (Vicomtech), and Juan Carlos Santamaría (Ubikare). The XII International Congress on Digital Health, directed by Marisa Merino, General Director of OSI Bidasoa (Osakidetza), is organized by the ASD | Asociación Salud Digital and the Fundación Signo, and will feature leading experts who will discuss how digitalization and artificial intelligence are reshaping healthcare systems to create value for patients, professionals, and society.
