Careers

Mechanical Design Engineer. 4+ Years

General information:

Design the Next Generation of Surgical Robots
At Cyber Surgery, we are looking for a passionate mechanical engineer who wants to apply their talent to the development of technology that directly improves people’s lives. You will be part of the team developing one of the most innovative robotic surgery projects: a robotic assistant designed to provide greater precision, safety, and efficiency for healthcare professionals. If you are motivated by solving complex challenges, working with cutting-edge technology, and seeing your designs make their way into the operating room, we would love to meet you.

What will your mission be?

As a member of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from concept design through to the validation and certification of high-precision medical devices.

You will work on:

    • Design and development of mechanical systems for high-precision surgical robots.
    • CAD modelling, drawing generation, component definition, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
    • Mechanical simulation and FEM/FEA analysis to ensure the robustness and reliability of designs.
    • Development, assembly, and validation of prototypes using different manufacturing technologies.
    • Technical coordination with national and international suppliers.
    • Close collaboration with Software, Robotics, Applied Research, Quality, Operations, and Clinical Validation teams.
    • Preparation of technical documentation and execution of verification and validation activities within a highly regulated environment.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a technically strong professional with a practical mindset, who enjoys teamwork and is eager to contribute to a project with real-world impact.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design, or a related field.
    • At least 4 years of experience in technical product design.
    • Experience working with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo, or similar).
    • Knowledge of mechanical simulation and finite element analysis.
    • Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
    • High level of English proficiency (minimum B2).
    • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and solve problems independently.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience in medical devices.
    • Knowledge of mechatronic systems or robotics.
    • Experience working in regulated environments (ISO 13485 or equivalent standards).
    • Experience in additive manufacturing and product industrialisation.
