ELCANO Project to Propel Prototype into Final Product

We are pleased to announce that the European Union’s Fund for European Regional Development is supporting the Cyber Surgery ELCANO project. This funding support is provided via the 2020 Grants for Technological Developments based on artificial intelligence and other digital enabling technologies.

The European Regional Development, Artificial Intelligence Initiative is focused on financing industrial research and experimental development projects with digital technologies. Grants are provided within the framework of the Strategic Action of Economy and Digital Society of the Spanish national program for R+D+i focused on society challenges and the business leadership program in R+D+i C007/20-ED.

Cyber Surgery’s objective is to optimize robotics surgeries and enhance the patient experience using highly sophisticated and proprietary medical imaging technology. The Cyber Surgery robotic assistant guides surgeons in less invasive and medically precise spinal operations.

The objective of the ELCANO project is to convert our robotic surgical assistant prototype into a final product, introducing substantial improvements to the existing prototype and carrying out the corresponding validation tests. We appreciate the funding support we have received and cannot wait to move forward with this revolutionary innovation in Healthcare.
